Thousands of shoppers queued in the dark as the boxing day sales began. Hundreds of shoppers surrounded Selfridges where queues snaked around the huge shopping emporium.
The doors opened and a stampede of shoppers, with no care of anyone else pushed. I have never seen anything like it, complete chaos.
The Metro stated Selfridges footfall was up 12% vs last year, by only 10am... and sales of 1.9 million in its opening hours a 16% uplift on last year.
Not being able to cope with the physical and mental stress of this situations, I headed down Oxford St in search of sale gems
